A good catalog pays every month for decades. We advance against it, so you can grow without selling.

Our thesis

Streaming turned music into a monthly, measurable cash flow, and more of it now belongs to independent labels and artists who kept their rights. They need capital to sign, release and promote, but the usual source is a distributor or major label advance with the rights attached. We provide growth capital to labels, artists and estates against what their catalog already earns, so they keep the upside. When an owner wants to sell, we can buy.

Why we find it interesting

$31.7B

Eleven straight years of growth.

Global recorded music revenue reached $31.7B in 2025, up 6.4%. Streaming was 69.6% of it.1

837M

Revenue that renews every month.

Paid streaming reached 837M users in 2025. Subscriptions make royalties steady enough to finance.1

46.7%

Independents own almost half.

Independent labels and self-releasing artists held 46.7% of recorded music revenue in 2023, about $14.3B. Most can’t get a bank loan against it.2

$12.2B

Publishing is growing too.

Music publishing revenue reached $12.2B in 2025, up 9.6%.3

Who we’re looking for

  • Independent labels with a year or more of statements and releases on the way. For a standing line of up to $10M, there’s Tally.
  • Labels that sign and develop artists and want a program to fund the advances.
  • Labels moving on viral records, who need to sign within days of a song breaking.
  • Catalog owners, estates and publishers who want cash without a full sale.
  • Composers and rights owners whose TV and film music keeps earning.

What we look at

Statements by track, territory and month, chain of title, the distributor and payors, and how much of the income comes from the top few songs.
